Chicken Soup for the Entrepeneur's Soul
Jazzercise founder & CEO Judi Sheppard Missett is a featured entrepreneur in the newly released, Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul. The latest release in the popular ‘Chicken Soup’ series of books is a compilation of short stories from entrepreneurs, both large and small, who share their experiences of success, failure and courage, with helpful advice mixed in.
“I am honored to be included in Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul,” said Missett. “I especially enjoy sharing a brief overview of how Jazzercise evolved over the years on its way to becoming the world’s leading dance fitness program.”
Missett, who turned her love of jazz dance into a worldwide dance exercise phenomenon, founded the Jazzercise dance fitness program in 1969. She has advanced the business opportunities of women and men in the fitness industry by growing her program into an international franchise business that today, hosts a network of 6,800 instructors in more than 30 countries. Last year, Jazzercise had its most successful year ever, posting system wide sales of over $75 million. In Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul, Missett provides a brief overview of how and why she began Jazzercise, while highlighting key components and insight as to what motivated her along the way.
